Week beginning 28.11.16
Date: 3rd Dec 2016 @ 3:19pm
We had another exciting week in year 2! We have had lots of practice for our nativity and it is going really well so far! The children are all beginning to remember most of their lines and the performance is coming together very well. It has been an ambitious script but should be fantastic when it is performed. As a reminder, the performances will be on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th December, with both starting at 2pm. Thank you again with your help at home with learning lines, homework and spellings.
Well done to our star speller Isaac! This week in phonics we looked at the suffixes 'ed' and 'ing', while in Literacy we continued to write a newspaper report about the Great Fire of London and a diary entry in the style of Samuel Pepys.
In maths we started to look at money, recognising it and solving problems with it. We also had a topic lesson whereby we were making model tudor houses, as a follow on lesson from our trip to Nantwich Museum.
Next week we will be spending a lot of time rehearsing for our nativity, ready for our performances at the start of the following week. You will also notice the results from our recent test week have been put into the children's planners. The tests have been used to assess what we have been learning so far in the autumn term.
Mrs Pulle is hoping to be well enough to come back next week!
