Week beginning 24.4.17

We had another super week in year 2. This week we looked at words that contain a /zh/ sound, such as in the words conclusion and measure. Well done to our super speller Darci.

In English we have been innovating our stories based on the Night Pirates, but the children changed the characters and plot using their own ideas. In maths we have been focussing on addition and subtraction.

In RE we have continued to look at creation, while in PE we have focussed on batting this week. In topic we researched and made a leaflet all about pirates! In computing we used the app 'Lego Movie' in order to make our own pirate animations. In science we have been looking at food chains.

Reminders for later this week:

Tuesday: Pirate Day! Come in dressed as a pirate! We are looking forward to making pirate ships in the afternoon.

Wednesday: SATS meeting 5pm- 5.30pm.
