Week beginning 17.4.17
Date: 22nd Apr 2017 @ 3:11pm
We had a lovely first week back, following a relaxing Easter break. We hope that you had a great couple of weeks and we enjoyed hearing about what the children got up to. Thank you for working through the sample tests and I hope you feel a bit more enlightened with the sorts of questions that will be set in the upcoming SATS.
This week in phonics we have been looking at suffixes and how to use them. In English we had a surprise visit from some rough, tough little girl pirates who were using a house for a disguise on the front of their pirate ship! We have been learning the story of the Night Pirates and were writing lots of exciting things this week, such as a message in a bottle. In maths we focussed on place value. Thank you for your support at home with spellings and homework.
In PE this week we were learning how to bowl, catch and field in cricket, while in RE we were learning about the creation of the world. We are looking forward to finding out about pirates next week for our topic!
If you have any questions, please get in touch.
