We have had a fabulous week in Year 4, working hard and playing hard. Bike ability was a great success and I am so pleased for those who had just learnt a few days before that they were able to take part.
Our core curriculum work has continued. In English, we completed our newspaper writing, including one of our key skills- direct speech and its correct punctuation. Maths has been a challenge this week as we have been looking at checking strategies and also a topic known as Equivalent Difference.
Our RE unit required us to write a job description for a disciple, looking at the key requirements for such a role and also the challenges you would need to be prepared for.
One of our themes this week has been recipes. The research was enjoyable! This all culminated in us making a bake-free biscuit. We decided to make a Rocky Road, using melted chocolate to bind our ingredients! And yet we were mindful of healthy eating!
One highlight this week was Mr Cotton's Science lesson where he brought the microwave into class, melting sweets to form different kinding of rocks.
I hope you enjoy the photos of this week and enjoy the week's holiday.
