Evening all,
I hope everyone has had a lovely inset day full of fun activities.
This week in English we will be looking deeper into the story of 'Adventures at Sandy Cove'. We will be learning about the authorial techniques used when writing an adventure story in order to use these in our own writing later in the topic.
In maths, we will continue looking at written division and mental multiplication methods. As always, it is important for children to practice their times tables at any opportunity. Please look back at blog posts from last week for a list of websites children can use independently to support their learning of times tables.
A quick reminder that Mrs Tice will not be in school again this Thursday due to a broken wrist and we continue to send her our best wishes and hope for a speedy recovery.
This weeks spellings are focussed on the suffix 'cian'. We will be exploring any patterns we notice in these words and their meanings as well as understanding when we use the suffix 'cian':
musician |
mathematician |
magician |
politician |
electrician |
dietician |
beautician |
technician |
