Evening all,
This week is a busy one in year four. In English we are writing newspaper reports following on from our stories. We will be looking to add these to our newly designed pirate reading corner.
In maths, subtraction is the order of the day. We will be ensuring that all the children are secure with the use of written methods of subtraction and then applying these to problems. Following this we will be looking at efficient methods of subtraction and making the choice about how to solve a problem.
In science, the children will be carrying out their experiment into soundproofing and then presenting the results in tables and graphs. Following this they will produce a written report complete with hypothesis and evaluation.
In RE, we will continue our learning about Daniel and the teachings of Jesus about God. We will be applying this to learn about believing in God can help us in our modern day lives.
Although I have had this conversation with the children, please help to remind them they need to take their instruments home on a Thursday following Mrs Tice's lesson as we have no storage for them in school.
Looking forward, after half term our class will be leading the school's annual remembrance service. I hope to see as many of you as possible in church for a moving service.
Mr Stanway
