Week beginning 13th March
Date: 19th Mar 2017 @ 11:04am
Its been another busy week in year 1.
In literacy we have been writing our own versions of Captain Yellowbelly using different characters. The children came up with some fascinating ideas and enjoyed pretending they were part of the story. Next week we will go on to applying our knowledge to different well-known stories.
In maths this week we have continued our work on addition and subtraction. The children have been able to complete their number bonds to 10 and 20. They have been able to complete their work using mental methods. Next week in maths we will move on to fractions, looking at 1/2 and 1/4.
In Re this week we have started to look at the easter story. The children are now able to sequence and identify key facts using what they have learned.
Thank you to everyone for your attendance at parent consultations this week. It was lovely to see you all and discus your childs progress.
Just to remind you all that we have pirates stay and make on Monday and our Easter church service this Friday. I hope to see as many of you as possible.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
