I hope everyone has had a fantastic weekend and are ready for a new school week.

Just a reminder that this week is parent consultation. Year 4 consultations take place Thursday evening and Friday morning.

In English this week we will be planning and writing our own adventure stories. We have been using a story called 'Adventures at Sandy Cove' to learn the structure and techniques for this type of story. To plan our own story, we will be using the school field and woods to imagine the setting of our story and design exciting, good and bad characters.

In maths this week we will be focussing on place value to ensure our knowledge of the number system is thorough. We will also be learning more about the times tables and all children can find fun games and activities on my previous blog post called 'Learning times tables.' There are also fun games on mymaths which the children can use their login for.

After speaking to Mrs Tice last week, she is trying to be in school this Thursday for the children to do music. Please keep an eye out for any further updates on the blog. I will also tell the children if they need to bring instruments.
