After a fantastic first week back, we are into full swing with the last half term of the year. This week we begin a new English topic based on the book Varmints. This is a fantastic book with an accompanying short film on youtube which I am sure the children will love. I look forward to reading their superb writing based on this book. 

In RE we are learning about a different religion this half term. Hinduism is our main focus and I am looking forward to taking an exciting journey through this religion with the children. 

Mrs Tice will be in on Thursday this week to take the children for music. Therefore, could all children please have their instruments in school on this day. We also have a music concert at the end of the school year to demonstrate all that the children have learned. I will confirm the date this week as part of a blog post. 

Our spelling rule this week is adding the prefix 'il' and 'ir'. See below for a list of spellings.
