Trip to Delamere

Date: 7th Feb 2020 @ 4:31pm

A delightfully chilly day in Delamere

Reception and Year 1 have enjoyed a most chilly, muddy and adventurous day in Delamere forest. Locating and finding clues about animal habitats led us to creating our own homes for woodland animals- setts for badgers, dens for foxes and log piles for frogs to name but a few. Next there was time to explore in the mud kitchen and attempt the assault course.

After lunch we explored the growth of small acorns into great oaks with games before we journeyed to another part of the forest to hug trees and feel the bark of giant redwoods. Finally we were guided by our partners to feel ourj way through the forest and use mirrors to imagine how it might be walking in the air.

The children have been a pleasure to take and thank you to our many parent helpers for their support.
