Sports Week ~ Day 2!

Trips Galore!

Today we celebrated National School Sports Week by conducting a number of trips.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 visited the National Museum of Football in Manchester.  Reception had a lovely time learning about Pickles the Dog whilst Year 1 and 2 worked hard to create electrical circuits for their floodlights.  The children enjoyed exploring the exhibitions during testing their skills on the interactive resources.  It was lovely to see so many of the children enthused by football and many were desperate to visit the museum again.  Superb behaviour was demonstrated by all pupils so well done guys!

Years 3 and 4 had a fantastic day in the sunshine at Reaseheath College, where they took part in a number of activities, including rock climbing and kayaking.  Some (including Mrs Arthur!) even tried swimming!  A big well done to everybody for fantastic behaviour and for trying something new.

Years 5 and 6 travelled to the home of greatest football team in the world (or so says Mr Jackson!), Manchester United.  The children had a tour of the museum and stadium as well as exhibiting their journalistic writing skills.  Apparently, Moonbeam and Moonchester made a few cheeky appearances within their rival stadium!  We were very impressed by outstanding behaviour and respectful attitudes of all of the pupils.  Well done!
