Reception's Blog - Week Beginning Monday 29th June

Date: 1st Jul 2020 @ 2:38pm

What another lovely week!

In literacy this week, both bubbles have strangely received a lettter from Something Else. We can only presume that this means Something Else has been in the building. We have been writing to the creature to let him know the fun things we can help him do if he decides to greet us in person.

In maths we have been focussing on adding and using a number line. The children have really enjoyed this and explored the technique during their choosing time.

We started by making honey comb using painted bubble wrap paper and what fantastic results we had! This is complimented our honey bee display wonderfully. Our afternoons were then spent with a big R.E focus as we looked at the sotry of creation and painted pictures being inspired by the artist Hannah Dunnett.

Just a reminder that next week, the children will be swapping classrooms so they’re able to spend a little time with a different teacher. Drop off and pick up times will remain the same but the door in which the children come in, will swap. If you have any questions, please send us a message on Dojo.

Have a lovely weekend,
