Reception WB 29.6.15
Date: 3rd Jul 2015 @ 9:53pm
This week we have had some very special visitors in our classroom!
Last week we received a delivery of caterpillars. We watched them carefully as they grew and after a short while they retired into their chrysalises. This week we arrived into school to find they had emerged as beautiful butterflies. We were very excited! We have been carefully caring for our butterflies and we hope to release them next week.
We have also been visited by a very special bear…Paddington! We have interviewed Paddington and taken a guess as to what might be inside his suitcase.
In numeracy we have been looking at repeating patterns. We have been completing colour patterns, shape patterns and number patterns.
On Friday we made the most of the fantastic weather by enjoying our very special snack outdoors. Can you guess what we had?
Next week Mrs Gleave and myself will be conducting home visits for our new starters (where has the year gone!). Miss McCann, our new Year 1 teacher, will be covering the class. This will enable her to get to know the children better, ready for September. Miss McCann will be continuing our work on Paddington Bear. Do pop over and say hello.
We hope to see you all on Saturday at the Garden Party! It promises to be a wonderful day.
Finally, best wishes to Issy! We are very glad you are on the mend and we look forward to seeing you soon!
