Reception W.B 11.06.18

Date: 15th Jun 2018 @ 4:08pm

What a busy week we've all had!

In Maths this week, we have been learning how to count in twos, fives and tens. We have also used 2p, 5p and 10p coins. We were then asked to record our answers using a 100 square. It was quite tricky but we rose to the challenge.

In Literacy this week, we have continued to focus on ‘The Papaya that Spoke.’ We had to change the papaya to a new fruit or vegetable. We then wrote our own version of the story. We had talking pineapples, talking strawberries and even talking apple trees!

We have also been practising for Sports Day, the relay race was quite difficult at first but we soon got the hang of it.

In topic we have designed our own postcards and then we learnt about holidays now and holidays in the Victorian times. We did chuckle at the clothes the Victorians wore. We also found out some surprising facts…we will tell you a little bit more during our assembly next Friday.

On that note, please join us 2.50 p.m. on Friday 22nd June to watch our amazing assembly.
