Week Beginning: 19th January 2015

In Numeracy this week we have been learning how to solve addition sums.  On Tuesday we had to solve the sum on the padlock and find the key with the correct answer.  On Wednesday we threw beanbags into hoops and added the numbers together.  There are some great games on the TES I Board website if you wish to practise.

In Literacy we have designed and labelled our own superheroes.  They look super!  We also had great fun presenting a news report about The Thrilling Three.  We will put some of these on our website as soon as we can! 

On Friday we had a lovely time sharing our special objects.  It was lovely to hear the children talk with confidence about their special item and many were able to tell us about what was special to their mums and dads. 

In PE this week we focussed on jumping safely and we practised our neat starting and finishing positions.

Thank you to all of the parents and grandparents who came to our Stay and Make sessions.  The children loved sharing their classroom with you and the capes looked amazing!  Photos can be found in our Gallery.

Next week we will be investigating number bonds and writing instructions.
