In Literacy this week we have been innovating the story of Supertato. We looked at different characters that may have been in the supermarket at the time of the incident and used our imagination to incorporate them into our story. Once we had innovated our stories we wrote a description of our main character. Next week we will begin writing our inventions.
In Maths we have been learning about tricky teen numbers. We have ordered number cards and identified numbers that are one more and one less. Why not try this at home?
Our RE lessons have seen us continue to learn about Jesus and his disciples. We listened to the story of how Jesus met his friends and we discussed how both Jesus and the disciples trusted one another. Following this we played various games where we had to trust our partner. We had lots of fun but we also recognised it can be hard to trust people right away.
In our topic lessons this week we have used a variety of materials to create our own superhero masks. The children were able to use their imagination and creative skills to create vibrant masks that many real life superheroes might choose to wear.
On Wednesday next week we have a real life superhero coming in to visit us, a police officer. If you have any questions or concerns based around this please do come and see one of us by Tuesday.
We hope you enjoy the long bank holiday weekend and look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday morning.
