Penguin on the loose!
Date: 22nd Jan 2015 @ 1:20pm
Mrs Betteley received an emergency phone call at playtime saying our neighbours had seen a penguin running down School Lane!
With Year 1 being polar experts we sent them to the scene to try and find out what had happened. We were SO shocked to find snowy webbed footprints leading us through the woodland to an explosion of black and white feathers. The penguin had even dropped some of his fishy snacks.
Year 1 then had the important job to make wanted posters to put up around the school to alert the other children and they had to write newspaper reports to give to the adults.
The writing was wonderful and a huge help to our community, thank you Year 1!
Luckily Mr Spilsbury found the runaway penguin playing on the slide in Brereton Park. The penguin is now safely on his way home to the South Pole.
What an exciting day!!
