Miss Webb and Chester Cathedral
Date: 14th Oct 2018 @ 7:30pm
It has been another very busy week in Year 5. Children have been completing their work on inverse operations in maths and writing newspaper reports in English. In science we have revised our work on gravity and moved on to looking at friction.
We have welcomed Miss Webb to our class who is in her final year of teacher training and will be working alongside me until January. She is very excited about getting to know everyone.
On Tuesday we have a ‘Kenya Day’ in school. This will be an opportunity for children to think about our link school, St Lwanga. Children will take part in a range of activities including history, geography and learning Swahili!
Next Wednesday we will be going to Chester Cathedral. This is always a popular visit with children taking part in a range of workshops including falconry, handbell ringing and climbing to the top of the tower. Everyone needs to wear their school uniform and have a coat for the walk from the coach. They will also need a packed lunch which can be ordered from school. We will be leaving Chester shortly after 2pm so aim to be back in time for the end of the day. We will keep you informed if we are delayed.
