Our week in Year 6
We have had a super busy week making sure we are all up to date and our units of work completed before we go to Pensarn. On Monday, we had an assembly with Down Syndrome Cheshire and they told us all about World Down Syndrome day and what they do to support children. We also played a cricket match in the afternoon. The best part of Monday though was the Easter raffle, lots of us won at least one egg which was amazing!
Another highlight of our week was the Ethos Council afternoon tea. It was a lovely afternoon with 14 of our neighbours. We hope to do it again soon.
We would like to say congratulations to Emily for getting the certificate in assembly this morning for her excellent writing this week. It was hard for Mrs Pirie to choose because we have all worked so hard!
We have spent this afternoon preparing for Pensarn, we have looked at the activities we are doing and made sure we all have everything we need. The best part was when our leavers hoodies arrived!
We are all very proud of the work we have done in maths this week as we have completed area, perimeter and volume. Some of the lessons were tricky but we all understand how to work out the area, perimeter and volume now so we are pleased about this.
We all could not be any more excited for next week and the memories we are going to make.
Have a lovely weekend,
All of Year 6
Dear parents,
I have added some more maths resources onto the Year 6 page if children are wanting to do some revision at homes. Under 'files to download', there are several different sheets on different topics which the children have asked for. If you are looking for different topics, follow the link on the other pages and you will be taken to a website where you can choose your own.
As always, if there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. Have a wonderful weekend.
Mrs Pirie
