Busy week for year 5

Year 5 have had another very successful and busy week.  In Maths, we started the week with  using fractions and  finished it with decimals.  In English, we worked hard with our text “ The Lost Book of Adventure” and in Reading  we have used APE( Answer, Prove ,Explain) to help us to develop our answers.  We have also during the week had a science experiment where we needed to use a sieve, filter-paper and to evaporate to separate four different materials. In Geography, we have looked at the different climate zones of North America and in P.E we continued with learning cricket skills. Mr Simmons also linked his Forest School lesson to our book so we built shelters.

We also found it very exciting when we had a visit from Bishop Sam Corley and Penny was lucky enough to be able to dress up like a bishop.
