Year 2 Class Blog W/B 15.10.18

We have had a super week in year 2. This week we have focused on the ‘el’ spelling rule, which is an ending that is less common than ‘le.’

In Maths this week we focused on addition and subtractions. We focused on partitioning numbers and adding 2 digit numbers to 1 digit and 2 digit numbers. We also took away 1 digit numbers from 2 digit numbers. In English we innovated the story map to create our own instructions- how to train a ___! Lots of children had pet trolls, tigers and even zombie dogs! Scary stuff!

We had a super Kenya day learning all about Kenyan dance, art and clothing; this was followed by a fantastic Stay and Make session. We had lots of castles and a few dragons!

Just to remind you, parent consultations will be next Monday morning and Thursday evening.
