Where can I purchase uniform?

https://www.badged.co.uk/ https://www.samdaleandson.co.uk/ https://app.uniformd.co.uk/items/brereton-c-of-e-primary-school

Where do I go?

Our gates open at 8:30am and you can enter via the pedestrian gate on Newcastle Road, the small pedestrian gate on School Lane or the large gate on School Lane (just after Pre-school). Classroom doors open at 8:35am.

Children in Reception can be dropped off at the gate to their outdoor area. The closest gate is the large School Lane gate, but you can walk down the side of the school building if entering through gates at the front of school.

Children in Y1, can be dropped off at their classroom door at the side of school (opposite the hall) which can be accessed by either gate.

Children in Y2 and Y3 can be dropped off at their classroom doors at the back of school, near the School House building and access is easiest via the large gate on School Lane, but you can walk around the school building if entering from Newcastle Road.

Children in Y4 can be dropped off through the door in the middle of the Y2 and Y3 door at the back of school.

Children in Y5 and Y6 can be dropped off at the back of school through the door in the middle of the Y2 and Y3 door or at the door near the School Lane pedestrian gate at the front of school.

Children in Rec-Y2 finish school at 3pm and children in Y3-Y6 finish at 3:15pm

School gates are normally manned by staff members and a member of the school leadership team is frequently at the front or back gate.

How do I book Wrap Around Care?

For children in Y1-Y6, booking can be made on ParentPay or by calling the school office (01270918931). We ask parents to book half a term in advance to ensure adequate staffing. We may not be able to accommodate ad-hoc bookings.

For children in Reception, bookings should be made by contacting Brereton Pre-School 01477 534304

What Should I Expect in the First Week?

Children joining 'in year' in Y1-Y6, will be offered a taster visit prior to starting which will be arranged with the school office.

For children joining a new Reception class in September, children join us for a short visit (9-9:30am) on the staff INSET day to find their peg and re-familiarise themselves with the classroom. The children then join us 9am - 12noon for the remainder of the first week, before joining full-time in week 2. The children will also be invited to settle visits during the summer term before they join, families are invited to a family 'meet and greet' session during our summer garden party and we offer home visits where your child's teacher will discuss transition with you. All details and dates will be shared during the New Starter Meeting in May, or in the ppt added to this site following the meeting if you are unable to join us.
