Reception w/b Monday 1st July
Date: 8th Jul 2019 @ 1:22pm
What a wonderful week it has been for Reception. This week they have had the chance to work with Mrs Baddeley. They have been introducing themselves, talking about their families and communities as well as preparing work for Year 1. It has been wonderful to hear them talk about their excitement for the year ahead and the goals they have set for themselves.
As we prepare for an exciting weekend in school, we want to remind you that the Rose Queen Parade starts at 12.30pm tomorrow with the procession starting at 1pm. There will then be lots of activities back on the school field afterwards. We hope to see as many of you there as possible.
Next week we have our trip to Trentham Gardens. The weather is looking to be on our side with a forecast of sunshine and cloud. We have had to make a slight alteration to our trip due to an outside agency changing arrangements regarding den building. Instead we will be orienteering around the park and woodlands. We would like to remind you that it is full school uniform with either trainers or wellies so that we can remove them easily for the ‘barefoot walk’; a teddy bear will no longer be required. Please also pack a bottle drink and a small hand towel. If you have ordered a packed lunch then the children will be able to collect these once they arrive at school.
We really cannot believe that it is approaching the end of year – everything is happening far too quickly. As the children begin their transition into Year 1, if you have any concerns or worries, please do come in and speak to us.
Have a lovely weekend and we hope to see lots of you at the garden party.
