Tuesday Club

Tuesday Club is for Years 2-6inclusive and it provides an hour of Christian activities, stories, crafts, games, songs and fun.

It takes place on Tuesdays from 3.15 – 4.15 in term time and is run by volunteers from St Oswald’s Church and parents.

Help is always welcome and if you would like to be involved please pass your name to Mrs Sant, you will be very welcome to join us.

We can offer a maximum of 20 places depending on the number of Church or parent volunteers. If you would like your child to join us, please give your details to Mrs Sant as we have to operate a waiting list. When we are oversubscribed, we will give priority to those who attend Cool Church or whose parents are helpers at Tuesday Club.

‘Taster visits’ to Tuesday Club can be arranged when there are vacancies eg in the Summer Term when some of the children prepare for Rose Queen events.

If you would like your child to join us we ask you to let us know of any allergies which could be a problem as some of our activities involve food! Also, to let you know, we do take photographs from time to time for the local press, the village and school website and for the Parish magazine.

If you have any queries or would like to help in any way, please refer to Mrs Sant at school in the first instance.

Many thanks,

Tuesday Club Team

Summer Term

We've had a busy month as usual but most of the work we've been doing is preparing to say goodbye! 😞

Many thanks to Wendy Davenport and Christine Derrick who have retired from Tuesday club in July after many years of helping.
Wendy has been involved from the start of the club 10 years ago when a need was highlighted to try and encourage more families and young people to attend Church services.
Christine has been invaluable in helping with organising crafts and helped members make stained glass pictures, cards and even taught the girls to cross stitch.

Here is a photo of everyone at the final Tuesday Club with Wendy and Christine with their lovely gifts of flowers.
We would also want to say Goodbye to Erika Davenport, Emma Thornhill and Grace Watret who leave school next week. We want to wish them Good Luck at High School and are sure you will have a great future at High School.
Over the years there have been many helpers at Tuesday Club including Ann Peach, Stuart Foster, Jennie Kemp, Sue Leigh, Roy Ashton, Helen Edge, Lesley Mosley and Claire Finnan. Plus we've been lucky to have Mums who have helped out and enyed the many varied activities we have done.
Tuesday Club is continuing with Claire Finnan taking over and we are sure it will continue to flourish in the future.

Robin was delighted with the book of memories he received from Tuesday Club members - old and New along with members from cool church. The children gave a great presentation at Church on Sunday 18th June and Robin and Lesley were both delighted.
On a hot afternoon in June the children had fun completing an outdoor treasure hunt, then we presented Lesley with two plant pots decorated by the children at Tuesday Club. We then had drinks and a cake - Lesley will be missed by everyone at Tuesday Club
😢

Lesley has since sent photos of the beautiful pots planted up with roses Rachel gave her. They will stand outside the front door in her new house so a reminder of everyone whenever she goes in or out!

Many thanks

Wendy
