FAQs

The letter from Cheshire East says: “At this point we do not envisage a full return of all year groups by the end of the summer term”. Do you agree?

As an Academy, we can choose not to follow Cheshire East guidance.  If guidance around the virus changes (lock down ends, restrictions are lifted etc) and risk assessments show a low risk, then we will be able to bring in additional year groups.  However, we will only do this if it safe to do so.  If social distancing measures continue, we are considering a model where we rotate year groups so they can at least have spent some time in school.  This would be dependent upon the outcome of the first four phases and risk assessments.

Will the children be doing a nomral school day or will they be in part time only?

We have tried to keep as close to the school day as possible.  Reception will go home slightly earlier than normal to allow sufficient time to clean all toys and resources.  We are not currently planning to operate a part time model.

Will parents be surveyed about their intentions to bring their child into school?  Will they be able to change their minds?

From 1st June, I will begin sending handbooks out so parents have all of the information needed in order to make an informed decision.  Parents will then be asked to notify us if they do not intend to bring their child back.  If parents choose not to bring their child back, they will not be able to change their minds until the next full risk assessment evaluation has been completed and we can establish if we can accommodate more children.  We will fully respect parents decisions.

Will school meals be offered?

School meals will be offered but it will a picnic bag.
