Editor Writing Competition
Budding Journalists!
A big well done to all of those who entered the Editor Writing competition run by National Literacy Trust. I had great fun reading all of the entries and I learnt a lot of new things about many topics, such as football, Minecraft, red pandas and X Factor! The free gifts were a wonderful surprise too.
All of the children who entered were awarded a certificate and a treat at school, as well as being entered into the Trust’s main prize draw. I will be sure to let you know if I hear from them!
Our winning entry was written by Sophie Dunning (Year 4). All of the teachers were amazed by the energetic style of writing, the marvellous presentation and the degree of work that had gone into producing such a fabulous magazine. Well done Sophie! Sophie’s entry has been sent down London to be judged by the Editors of Girl Talk and Mega magazines. Fingers crossed for you Sophie! Her magazine is attached below for all to read so please enjoy!
