York - Day 2

Date: 14th Apr 2016 @ 8:09am

The children have had a good nights sleep, although the boys were awake by 5:30am! They are eating a hearty breakfast and looking forward to the day ahead.

Good morning from York! Everyone was in bed by 8.30pm last night and most were asleep by 9 o clock. We had a few early risers this morning but bacon, egg, hash browns and beans helped to fuel everyone up for the day. They also had  a choice of cereals, pancakes, toast and fruit.

We are now at the Jorvik Dig, learning all about Viking weapons.

The children have been an absolute credit to you. They are managing the long walks really well. Their manners at meal times are great. Members of the public and the museum staff have given us super feedback about their behaviour and enthusiasm.

3.30pm We have had a great day. The Yorvik dig was brilliant with workshops on Viking weapons, an archeological dig and a workshop on Viking trade. This afternoon we have visited the Railway Museum and are currently in a 'Speed Workshop'.
