Year 2 WC 30th November 2020

Date: 4th Dec 2020 @ 3:18pm

The weeks just seem to be flying by at the moment. I can't believe we're just two weeks away from the end of term.

In English this week we have been looking at features of a biography. We then did some research on the polar explorer, Roald Amundsen, and used this to write our biographies about him.

In maths we have been subtracting two digit numbers from two digit numbers. This is a key concept for children to grasp so we are spending lots of time learning different strategies and will continue with this next week.

On Tuesday we had a virtual visit from Ann Peach via Zoom. In our RE we have been learning about Christian community and what it means to belong to the church. The children had some super questions to ask Ann about what the church means to her and we really enjoyed speaking to her.

We have just a few more practices until we record our nativity, Busy Busy Bethlehem. Please can children practise their lines over the weekend so that they are ready for our next rehearsal on Tuesday.

I hope you have a lovely weekend
