Spelling rules

This week we focused on the /j/ sound in dge, ge, gy and gi words.

Maths and English

Our focus in Maths was on measurement, fractions and shape in order to consolidate previously taught concepts.

In English we wrote our river circular stories. The children did a fantastic job and there were some excellently written stories.

RE, Science and foundation subjects

In music this week, the children focused on animal sounds with Mrs Taylor and linked these to musical notes. In Science they enjoyed a super lesson with Miss Walker all about melting- they enjoyed working scientifically. In RE the children thought about making promises, linking with our current theme of Baptism.

Thank you for all of your support with learning lines for the class assembly! They did a super job retelling what was a wonderful experience at Beeston. It was lovely to see so many of you there to watch our assembly.
