Year 2 class blog w/b 12.11.18

Date: 11th Nov 2018 @ 12:47pm

We have had a lovely first week in back in Year 2. This week we have focused on the ‘il’ spelling rule, looking at words such as council and pencil.

In Maths this week we focused for the last time this half term on addition and subtraction, particularly on the blank number line method.  In English we learned all about animals in WW1 and learned the story map of ‘Flo of the Somme.’ We then performed this in Church on Friday! The children all did a fantastic job! In topic this week we did lots of artwork and wrote prayers based around Remembrance.

Just to remind you, the school visit to Nantwich Museum is on Monday (tomorow). Please send your child in school uniform and a warm coat, as there will be a part in the visit where we have a tour of the town.

Nativity lines have now gone out. These need to be learned, as we won’t have scripts when we perform the Nativity. Many thanks. We will start to rehearse this week in school.
