We have had a super week in year 1. Many thanks for your support with spellings. Please continue to support your child at home by using their phonics pack and playing games on phonicsplay.co.uk.
In English this week, we innovated a persuasive piece of writing, convincing someone to go to a location of our choosing. In Maths, we learned about fractions (halves and quarters) and then found a fraction of an amount e.g. half of 12. In RE we listened to the story of Pentecost. In topic this week we continued our leaflets about London landmarks, while in PE we played cricket and learned some of the skills needed to play.
Just to remind you: it is our ‘Stay and Make’ next week, which will start at 1.30 on Wednesday 23rd and finish roughly at 2.45pm. Please come along if you are able to do so.
