Year 1 class blog w/b 11.6.18

We have had a super week in year 1. Many thanks for your support with spellings and phonics. Everyone did fantastically in the Phonics Challenge. They should all feel very proud of themselves.

In English this week, we wrote a non-chronological report, while in Maths, we focused on comparing, ordering and sequencing numbers, as well as finding one more and one less. In topic, we learnt about the differences between Kenya (St Lwanga) and Brereton, while in Science we focused on seasonal change and deciduous and evergreen trees. In PE, we practised catching, bowling and batting in rounders, before playing a game of rounders.
