What's happening in Year 4 WC 18.1.2016

Maths: This week we will be looking at measure gaining an understanding of the units mm, cm, m, km, g, kg, ml and l and the relationship between them. We'll be learning how to convert between different units and applying this in real life contexts.

English: We are continuing with our text, 'The Heart and the Bottle' which sees us writing our own dilemma stories in a similar style.

It is our orienteering trip to Brereton Heath Country Park on Friday (weather permitting). Unless it is raining, we plan to still go ahead with the visit. The weather is very cold but the children will be on the move throughout. However, please, please ensure children are dressed suitably with hats, scarves, gloves and an extra pair of socks! Children need to to bring their wellies to school in a carrier bag so that they have somewhere to put them when we get back.

Sadly this is Miss Kennedy's last week with us. The children and I have thoroughly enjoyed having her here at Brereton and we wish her all the best in the future.
