What does the Kingdom of God mean to you?

Date: 1st Feb 2018 @ 4:29pm

The children have been thinking about the Kingdom of God in their RE lessons this half term. Today they widened their scope on this matter and interviewed some members of our school community. The children interviewed Robin Astles (School Governor, member of Parish Council), Mrs. Finnan (Deputy Church Warden, Cool Church, Tuesday Club), Mrs. Peach (Tuesday Club, Cool Church, active member of the community) and Mrs. Rix (Vice Chair of Governors, link between Church and school, member of Church choir). The children posed some thought-provoking questions and got some very interesting answers. How would you answer these questions?

When did you start believing in God and what happened to bring this about?

What do you think the Kingdom of God is?

Why do you choose to do volunteer work in Church?

What work do you do in Church?

How long have you been doing this work?

How does this service make you feel?

How do you think the Church Community feels about you doing this service?

How does your volunteer work promote the Kingdom of God on Earth?

Many thanks to our interviewees, and well done and thank you to the children for their politeness and interest.
