Week beginning 12.6.17

Date: 18th Jun 2017 @ 3:54pm

We had a lovely week in year 2. Thank you for your support once more in completing homework and helping with spellings. Well done to our super speller Archie.

This week in phonics we have been looking at words that end in ible and able, such as possible and comfortable. In English we started the week as a TV news crew reporting the events of the Titanic! Later in the week, we wrote newspaper reports using the knowledge we had from our topic lessons. In maths we have been focussing on data handling, statistics and drawing graphs.

In science this week we planted broad beans, placed them in different locations around the room and made predictions about which plants would grow the best; we have even started our own diary about our own broad beans. In RE we are focusing on Judaism, while in PE our focus is athletics.
