Sorry for the delay in posting our blog, we hope you all had a lovely weekend.

We've had a very busy start to January, there has been lots of changes in the classroom that enhance our learning of all things in the Arctic.

In English this week, we met an Arctic Explorer, who had discovered mysterious footprints in our classroom. He needed our help to find out who or what they belonged to.  We have started reading 'The Bear who went Boo' by David Walliams, we have sequenced the pictures and we have also written questions for the explorer.

In Topic this week, we have been very busy building our igloo, we can't wait for it to be finished so we can listen to Arctic stories inside.  We have also been using chalk pastels and tissue paper to create polar bear pictures for our arctic display.

In P.E we joined with Year 1 to learn all about Arctic Yoga.

During maths we have been learning how to collect data and transferring the information to a pictogram, it helped us show which Arctic animal was the most popular.

Thank you for your continued support and milk bottles.

Please do come and speak to us if you have any questions or queries.
