Pensarn Day 4

Date: 31st Mar 2022 @ 1:15pm

A cracking final day! Croissants, a flurry of snow, mostly clear blue skies, making our packed lunch again, then off to our last two activities. The rock climbers achieved new heights whilst the snow fell, the gorge walkers fell backwards into icy rivers and the kayakers fought against the strong wind heading back to the harbour. All children battled the elements and the challenges and won! Some even touched a waterfall.

The Room Inspection was won by Room 8: Matthew, Max and Lewis. Noah, Casper and Harry were close behind but even Noah greeting Mr Collier as a butler couldn’t quite beat Room 8’s high standards.

Right now, 8.30pm, they are all sat watching Goodnight Mister Tom in the makeshift cinema back at base. There is a gentle crunching of crisps and rustle of sweetie wrappers.

Bags are packed, clothes are set out for tomorrow. We expect to be back in Brereton around 2.30 but will keep you up to date as we travel. Please come a little earlier at 2.15 for a chat about the Prom if you can.

Today, a member of the CMC staff commented that your children were among the best-behaved children they have ever worked with. Coupled with that is the way they have worked together, believed in themselves and overcome challenges. A truly awesome week!
