Not a total washout!

Date: 12th Oct 2018 @ 4:18pm

Good afternoon all,

Although it was a great shame that our trip to Delamere Forest was postponed, and I was as disappointed as the children were this morning when I received confirmation that we could not go due to Storm Boris (or whatever name we've given this one). Teachers, as I'm sure you all know by now, are a resourceful lot and with the wonderful Mrs Taylor's assitance I was able to put together a day that hopefully had the children returning to you with smiles on their faces.

As you can see from the images the children were asked to make cave paintings, construct and decorate a pre-historic roundhouse, and write a diary entry imagining that they were a child in the Stone Age times. This afternoon we looked at the styles of clothing that early man and woman would wear, and with the use of newspaper and masking tapes, the children constructed their own clothing in Kagan partners and took part in a fashion show with a Stone Age twist.

I am hoping that we can reschedule the Delamere Trip in a month's time, but I will confirm this everyone next week.

Enjoy your weekend!
